Yamaha Silent Upright Pianos

Yamaha Silent Upright Pianos deliver the authentic acoustic upright piano experience with the advantage of Silent play via headphones. A hammer shank stopper moves into play acoustically silencing the upright piano while activating contact-free key sensors to trigger an immersive piano sample. Additional benefits include record and play, multi instrumental voices, volume control, reverb and MIDI connectivity for production, notation and arrangement via a separate device. The latest Yamaha SC3 and SH3 Silent Systems have heightened the experience and improved the responsiveness and accuracy in Silent mode.

The SC3 system is exclusive to the B series models B1SC3, B2ESC3 and B3ESC3 as a slightly lighter featured tone module, whilst retaining the sensor and main piano sample upgrades over prior models. The P (116-121cm, U (121-131cm), YUS (121-131cm) SE (122-132cm) and SU7 (132cm) series Yamaha upright pianos feature the full specification SH3 Silent system.

Yamaha silent upright pianos have a very slightly different feel to a standard equivalent as the regulation is set for silent mode at all times. However, this is difficult to notice and the benefit often exceeds this!
