The Yamaha B2ETC3 Transacoustic upright piano is contemporary yet classic in style, whilst retaining a neat footprint and compact dimensions. A refinement over the smaller B1/B1TC3, the B2ETC3 Transacoustic has a taller cabinet in a traditional style featuring front and rear castors. The principle upgrade is the solid quarter-sawn spruce soundboard for a superior resonance. The Yamaha letterset on the fall (keyboard lid) is neatly presented in inlaid brass compared with a paint transfer on the B1.
The subtle tone and light touch of the B2E-TC3 make for an instrument which is easy to play and a positive experience time and time again. In TRANSACOUSTIC mode, chose from the World-Class Yamaha CFX Concert Grand and the Böesendorfer Imperial Concert Grand pianos, amongst other piano, e-piano, organ, harpsichord voices. The latest Silent piano is so convincing, most customers will remove headphones and ask if others could hear.
The TC3 Transacoustic Silent system effectively makes this a hybrid piano. The Silent version of the standard Yamaha B2E, the Yamaha B2E-TC3 Silent brings amazing benefits such as silent practice, creativity through MIDI connectivity for composition/arrangement.

Yamaha Silent pianos retain the undeniable allure of an acoustic piano, which they are at heart, making silent pianos the ultimate hybrid solution. In stark contrast to a premium-digital/hybrid, Silent pianos are true acoustic pianos, with the integral facility to silence the acoustic piano and utilise the same keyboard/action/pedals to play a digital piano reproduction or other appealing instrument voices, via headphones.
You can use the on-board record function to record WAV or MIDI and export to a USB memory device; connect to a MIDI compatible instrument, device or computer for creative composition or arrangement. It is also possible to layer the live acoustic piano with the MIDI function or alternative instrument voice, via external speakers (not supplied). The silent voices and piano tone settings (silent mode) can be adjusted using a SmartPianist [TM] app when the piano is connected via WIFI to the same router as the device; or local WIFI to app device; using the optional Yamaha WIFI adapter (not included): UD-WL01. There is also an optional Yamaha Wireless Bluetooth MIDI adapter (not included): YAMAHA UD-BD01.
