As leading educational piano specialists, Venables Pianos care for many schools and institutions across the UK. It is imperative that your music departments receives excellent service from initial appraisal of your current piano inventory to ongoing service program after delivery of your new instruments. We offer tailored leasing solutions and rolling stock replacement schemes.

Leasing and Finance

Operating lease and hire purchase lease can be arranged as required. Our specialist education lease plans are a brilliant way to bring a quality fleet of pianos to your music department sooner than fundraising and with potential benefits to cashflow. Regular termly or annual payments are often far easier to make than a one off impact to the capital budget.
A lease duration of 5-7 years is typical. Ask us for an example or full quotation.

Rolling Stock Replacement Program

Our rolling stock replacement program applies to gradual replenishment of your piano inventory. In place of a bulk purchase and installation of several practice room uprights and 2 grands, pianos are individually delivered and invoiced to coincide with capital budget allocations. No contract is drawn up and there is no lease. However, we agree an initial quotation for the eventual inventory of new stock and apply pro-rata discounts to each delivery to reflect the combined price. Price increases directly in line with market fluctuation (wholesale cost) are unavoidable, but our pricing structure will reflect the same benefits to a group installation.

Free Piano Inventory Appraisal and Consultation

An experienced technician will visit to carefully inspect the technical condition of your instruments to provide both valuation for part exchange and guidance on priority replacement. There may be pianos with higher value although less suited to your music department’s needs and other pianos which although low value are worth more to retain if in good serviceable condition. We can also advise on reconditioning where appropriate.

Reconditioning and Servicing

Generally speaking, new is best in schools: The high wear, demanding standards and value of presentation are key benefits in a new piano. Further, the instruments in your music department make a substantial impression of the school’s commitment to standards.

If the stock of pianos are solely tuned, there will be a notable deterioration in their performance and condition. School pianos need regular servicing to keep them at their best. Cleaning out, lubricating, regulating and voicing are critical service elements responsible for how well the instruments perform how quickly they wear.

We can advise on a service schedule to protect your investment in pianos and their future value too.

In cases where pianos have not been serviced for some time, reconditioning is required unless replacement represents better long-term value.

Our experience maintaining pianos in schools and receiving worn examples in part exchange, places us as invaluable advisers for school piano maintenance.
