Based on the Yamaha C2X Conservatoire grand, the GC2 utilises less refined materials (hammers, strings, soundboard and keytops) but still realising a good piano standard that is more readily accessible.
With fine preparation, the Yamaha GC2 can deliver superior performance to earlier G2 models owing to the recent C2 scale inherited in this model. Smooth tenor/bass transition, richer tone and less sterile/neutral than earlier mid-series Yamaha small grands.
