Yamaha B1. 109cm upright. Compact size, low price and reliable. Ideal for small practise rooms. Due to low height, tone in lower registers is shallow but, otherwise, the B1 has a clean, melodic voice.

Yamaha B3. 121cm upright. Tone, feel and range far better than the B1, B2 and P116 models. With the exception of the soundboard, this is the same spec. as the current U1 and approx. £2k lower in price!

Yamaha P121. 121cm upright. Along with the B series, the P116 and P121 are built by Yamaha Jakarta (Indonesia) to the same standard as former UK and current Hamamatsu, Japan factories. Solid Bavarian spruce soundboard sets this above the B3 on tone, equal to the U1, and still more affordable.

Yamaha U1 Professional. 121cm upright. A favorite in the educational market for over 30 years, also consider the equivalent spec. P121 (lower price).

Yamaha U3S Professional. 131cm upright. The industry standard full-height upright boasting a broad tone and wide dynamic range. Tall action and longer keys provide greater leverage for superior control and maximised expression. Also has 'Sostenuto' centre pedal.

Yamaha YUS5 Custom. 131cm upright. As per U3S with a refined tone (warmer and with more depth) through upgraded hammers and bass strings. Superior keytops (Ivorite™ natural and WPC sharps) feel better. The functional cabinet features a solid music desk with acoustic vents to further improve tone.

Yamaha GB1-K. 4'11" baby grand. Yamaha quality at a sensible price. As with most baby grand piano, the tone is shallow in the lower registers and is ideally suited to smaller classrooms, as it will struggle to compete with many voices/instruments in a large acoustic space.

Yamaha GC1-M. 5'3" baby grand. Longer keys than the GB1 provides the typical Yamaha grand touch weight & leverage, where the GB1 feels lighter and less responsive. A wider range of tone throughout, with more depth, projection and colour. More competent in accompaniment and classroom environments, and ideal for practise.

Yamaha C2-x. 5'8" grand. A smooth, balanced and refined voice. A real step-up on quality in all areas (vs the GC1), with a warm tenor and bass and delicate upper tenor. A very nice instrument well suited to medium size classrooms and for solo performance, chamber work or intimate recitals.

Yamaha C3-x. 6'1" grand. Where did all this tone come from! Full bass, rich tenor and clean projective treble. Recognised as the industry-standard grand, this is a professional instrument with a suited to a wide range of applications. A very competent instrument.

Yamaha C6-X. 6'11" grand. Broad bass-tenor with smooth transition. Colourful, vibrant bass, wide tenor range and projective upper tenor-treble. Ideal for medium-large halls for solo and accompaniment use.

Yamaha C7-X. 7'6" grand. Feel the bass through the keys and pedals! With this much depth, this can be voiced for brilliance without sounding strident. Perfect for large halls and orchestral accompaniment.
