Yamaha B2

The Yamaha B2 is a compact traditional style upright piano. We prefer to describe this piano as a B1 in a traditional cabinet. The height difference between the B1 and B2 is purely the cabinet and castors. There is no increase in frame height, string length or soundboard area.
Whilst compact, budget upright pianos represent good value in terms of being low in price, we feel that in a matter of a few years, a beginner will quickly find the need for more control (touch), better expressive range and a more inspiring tone. These qualities are not found in short upright pianos, but in models of at least 116cm.
The Brodmann CE118 traditional upright piano is a huge upgrade. A taller piano can be a very affordable investment in a superior instrument that is more pleasing to play, is more likely to sustain interest and reward progression.
