About us

Established in 1981 and now the No.1 Yamaha acoustic piano dealer in the UK, we are proud to be an entirely family-run business regularly achieving Top Dealer Awards and having a prestigious client list.

Chris Venables has received tuning and technician training with both Yamaha and Steinway & Sons. Having prepared pianos for World famous artists such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Peter Donohoe, John Lill and Peter Katin, Chris is ideally suited to helping you select the right piano for your particular needs.

Workshop technician Will Venables (son) has excellent piano knowledge ensuring clients have a better understanding of pianos and can also custom prepare your piano to your preference (fine tuning, precision action regulation, custom voicing - hammer intonation). Will is also well versed in advanced piano technology. Having studied music technology as part of a Diploma in Music, Will has a wealth of knowledge and experience relative to acoustic hybrid models such as Yamaha's Silent and Disklavier series with MIDI compatibility. Will is also responsible for information, promotional and marketing tools, including the design and development of the Website, publishing of The Good Piano Guide and detailed, informative response to enquiries.
